Miscellaneous Fees

Miscellaneous Fees

In addition to the application fees and tuition, other fees are required throughout the period of enrollment.

Within the first six months (approximately): $50 Phase 3 Assessment (one time fee). Thereafter: $100 Annual Report Fee every year for up to 4 years, $10 per quarter Submission Fee in any quarter where actual course submissions are made, $100 Section 5 Audit fee (one time fee) toward the end of enrollment, and $300 testing fee prior to graduation (one time fee).

Please note that some of the fees may be refunded at graduation. Special instructions are included upon enrollment concerning the payment of each fee. Be sure to budget for these fees, in addition to books and other educational supplies.

Phase 3 Assessment - $50

This fee is paid when Phase 3 has been completed (typically six months into enrollment). After the student receives Assessment (notes/approval) for her Phase Three Folder, she is eligible to submit course submissions for evaluation by the Academic Director.

Quarterly Submission Fee - $10

There is a submission fee of $10 to be included with work submitted in any quarter. The submission fee is only required in quarters when submissions are made. Out of US enrollees are not required to include the submission fee.

Section 5 Audit Fee - $100

There is a one time $100 fee for the telephone audit required for completion of Section 5. Form included. This fee is not required until the actual audit is scheduled.

Annual Reports (ARD) - $100 each year (maximum 4 years)

  • $100 Annual Report fee required with each Annual Report.
  • Annual Reports are due the same day each year. An annual report date (ARD) will be assigned to you after enrollment. ARD is provided to each student with curriculum.
  • $275 rebated upon graduation if enrollee has never been late with Annual Report/Annual Report Fee or monthly payments.
  • Returned checks void rebate; annual fee still required.
  • Failure to submit Annual Report and Fee by the deadline (ARD) voids rebate and places enrollee on probation and seriously compromises enrollment status.
  • There is a $10 per month (or part of any month) late fee assessed for Annual Reports not received on or before due date.
  • Annual Reports may now be filed online and paid using PayPal.

*Note: Students may opt out of the Annual Report Fees by prepaying for 4, but the Annual Reports must still be filed. Annual Report Fee Prepayment is $275 and is due at enrollment. This saves the student $125 over paying the $100 each year for four years.

Final Exams - $300

Testing fee of $300 required to cover cost of administering and grading of two final exams. In years past, we waived this fee for some students. We no longer waive the testing fee for any reason.

OPTIONAL FEES

Annual Report (ARD) Fee PREPAY option - $275 - DUE AT ENROLLMENT TO QUALIFY

This is not required, but an option designed to save the student $125.

Students may opt out of the 4 Annual Report Fees by prepaying $275 at enrollment. This saves the student $125 over paying the $100 each year for four years.

AEU Fees $5 per AEU

AEU’s are optional. AEUs are exclusive to AAMI and are similar to Continuing Education Units. AEU’s are granted for a fee of $5 per requested AEU. Out of US students may pay fees using paypal or make other arrangements.

Extensions - $60/$600/$1000

Extensions are currently $60 a month, $600 for one year or $1000 for 2 years. However, if the extension request comes within 30 days of the existing PCD, there will be an additional $40 charge making it $100 a month. For example, if a one month extension is requested May 1 and the PCD is May 25, the fee will be $100 per month, whereas if the extension request is received by AAMI on April 25 and the PCD is May 25, the extension is only $60 per month. So make a note on your calendars where you have marked your PCD that extensions must be requested a full month BEFORE the PCD or there is an extra $40 per month charge.

This new policy has been initiated to encourage enrollees to stop waiting until the last minute to apply for an extension AND to ensure that they have sufficient time to complete the course and graduate by their PCD. A 5-6 month period is usual to complete the graduation process. If you have a June PCD, you should finish the course requirements in January in order to have time to complete the tests and get your certificate before your PCD.

There are many ways to customize your enrollment. See other Options.

NOTE: Textbooks are not included in tuition. Every effort is made to hold book costs as low as possible. Budget at least $200 for books to start with and at least another $500 for books and related expenses over the course of enrollment. Some books are available through local libraries and inter-libraryloans. Check used book stores and online sources.
